MEDICAL OUTREACH PROGRAM

Our Medical Outreach Program is a public health outreach mission providing good healthcare services in remote communities in Africa. Our program is segmented into different components to respond to social challenges facing people across the different demographics. These include;

  • Free medical consultation and distribution of medication through offering of counseling for healthy living. To be done by medical doctors and student doctors. They will be screen and counseling in adolescent reproductive health and educated on water-borne diseases.

  • General health screening which includes body mass index, random blood sugar for (Diabetes), breast screening, high blood pressure, hypertension, cholesterol and uric acid. Other areas to be screen are blood diagnostic test for malaria, prostate specific antigen, Hepatitis B and C as well as dental optical consultation, HIV and AIDS Counselling Testing. It is unfortunate that some people do not take care of their health issues seriously, even when they noticed conditions that needed urgent medical care.
  • A hand-washing exercise to emphasize the importance of hand washing in our daily lives. Activities: Children will be taught basic hygienic practices and encourage to wash their hands with soap and clean water before eating. E.g a demonstration of hand washing to give children the idea of how to wash their hands thoroughly.
  • Heart to Heart interaction between our counselors and the youth of the communities on issues relating to their sexuality.
  • Health Education and Promotion: changing the focus from cure to prevention. Any of the list below and monetary funding you can bring to donate to outreach will be great.
